چکیده
Context: The star cluster R136 inside the LMC hosts a rich population of massive stars, including most stars known. strong stellar winds these very luminous impact their evolution and surrounding environment. We currently lack detailed knowledge wind structure that is needed to quantify this impact. Aims: To observationally constrain properties in R136, particular parameters related clumping. Methods: simultaneously analyse optical UV spectroscopy 53 O-type 3 WNh-stars using FASTWIND model atmosphere code genetic algorithm. models account for optically thick clumps effects porosity velocity-porosity, as well non-void interclump medium. Results: obtain parameters, surface abundances, mass-loss rates, terminal velocities clumping characteristics compare theoretical predictions evolutionary models. include density medium velocity-porosity wind. For first time, are systematically measured wide range effective temperatures luminosities. Conclusions: confirm age 1.0-2.5 Myr derive an initial mass $\geq 250 {\rm M}_\odot$ our sample, R136a1. sample highly clumped, with average factor $f_{\rm cl}=29\pm15$. find tentative trends wind-structure function rate, suggesting higher rates less clumped. several observed none satisfactorily reproduces both quantities. prescription Krti\v{c}ka & Kub\'at (2018) matches best rates.

Star Formation in Space and Time: the Orion Nebula Cluster
We examine the pattern of star birth in the Orion Nebula cluster (ONC), with the goal of discerning the cluster’s formation mechanism. Outside the Trapezium, the distribution of stellar masses is remarkably uniform and is not accurately described by the field-star initial mass function. The deconvolved, three-dimensional density of cluster members peaks at the Trapezium stars, which are truly a...
متن کاملStar cluster ecology II. Binary evolution with single-star encounters
Three-body effects greatly complicate stellar evolution. We model the effects of encounters of binaries with single stars, based on parameters chosen from conditions prevalent in the cores of globular clusters. For our three-body encounters, we start with a population of primordial binaries, and choose incoming stars from the evolving single star populations of paper I. In addition, we study th...
متن کاملStar Cluster Evolution with Primordial Binaries
Observations and theoretical work suggest that globular clusters may be born with initially very large binary fractions. We present first results from our newly modified Monte-Carlo cluster evolution code, which treats binary interactions exactly via direct N -body integration. It is shown that binary scattering interactions generate significantly less energy than predicted by the recipes that ...
متن کاملMassive Star and Star Cluster Formation
I review the status of massive star formation theories: accretion from collapsing, massive, turbulent cores; competitive accretion; and stellar collisions. I conclude the observational and theoretical evidence favors the first of these models. I then discuss: the initial conditions of star cluster formation as traced by infrared dark clouds; the cluster formation timescale; and comparison of th...
متن کاملStar Formation Efficiencies and Star Cluster Formation
Starbursts produce large numbers of Young Star Clusters (YSCs). Multi-color photometry in combination with a dedicated SED analysis tool allows to derive ages, metallicities, EB−V, and masses including 1σ uncertainties for individual clusters and, hence, mass functions for YSC systems. The mass function, known to be Gaussian for old Globular Cluster (GC) systems, is still controversial for YSC ...
